| What is prayer? | The raising of the heart to God and communing with Him. | |

| How often should we pray? | At all times, but especially every morning and evening, and at every meal. | |
| Does God hear our prayers? | Yes, God hears all our prayers, for He is omnipresent and omniscient. | |
| Does God answer our prayers? | Yes, God answers our prayers for Christ's sake, because He is our merciful Father. | |
| But when does God refuse our prayers? | When we ask amiss or for things injurious to us. |
