Syllable Rule 1 All hebrew syllables begin with a consonant and end with a vowel.  
Syllable Rule 2 Open syllables are composed of a consonant and a vowel.  
Syllable Rule 3 Closed syllables are composed of a consonant + vowel + consonant.  
General Accent Rule Unless Otherwise noted, the accent always falls at the end of a word.  
Rule of Qames-hatup Qames-hatup occurs in a closed and unaccented syllable (This rule is how you distinguish between qames-hatup and qames)  
Rule of Shewa 1 "Silent Shewa succeeds a short vowel."  
Rule of Shewa 2 When two shewas occur at the beginning of a word, the first becomes hiriq.  
Rule of Shewa 3 When two shewas occur at the beginning of a word, and the second is a compound, the first becomes the corresponding short vowel.  
Adjective Rule #1 An attributive adjective agrees with the noun it modifies in gender, number and determination (definite/indefinite).  
Adjective Rule # 2 A predicate adjective agrees with the noun it modifies in gender and number but not determination.  
Dages Forte Rule 1 Dages forte doubles the letter  
Dages Forte Rule 2 Dages forte cannot appear in a gutteral letter.  
Dages Forte Rule 3 Dages forte follows a full vowel.
